The beginning – Laurence and Michel Gagnon arrived in Whistler in 1993 after meeting and working together in the Canadian Rockies at the Chateau Lake Louise. Their continued love for the mountains drew them to Whistler where they were able to eventually open their Whistler restaurant and build not only a business but also a family, along with enjoying the Whistler lifestyle.
For the fist four year, they worked in different Whistler restaurants. In the summer. they sold crepes at the Upper VillageFarmer’s market. With the huge success of their crepes and encouragement from Whistler locals they opened their Whistler restaurant – an authentic French Creperie – in November 1997. Since then, Crepe Montagne has enjoyed tremendous success as a place to go in Whistler for crepes, fondues and Swiss raclettes.
The decor is a mix of texture between navy blue wood and white brick, and it makes the atmosphere very homey and comfortable. Success grew from their attention to detail and their focus to quality, service and cleanliness.
